Five videos by ALP COMMUNICATIONS of Toronto were recognized recently by the American Pixel Academy, a coalition of creative professionals and educators in the pixel media.

‘Fairway to the Future’ Wins Gold at 44th Worldfest Independent Film Festival

ALP Communications has won two Gold Remi Awards and a Silver Remi Award at the prestigious 44th Worldfest International Film Festival in Houston, TX. FAIRWAY TO THE FUTURE, a 22-minute documentary made for television and Internet, won Gold in the 'Documentary under 60-minutes' category. In the Automotive Video category, BMW SOUND DESIGN won Gold and BMW DESIGN ARCHIVE won Silver.
FAIRWAY TO THE FUTURE provides a poignant look at the journey of four deserving students, all of modest means, as they compete for an Evans Scholarship and the opportunity of a lifetime. Proceeds from the BMW Championship, and funds raised with the support of the video, support the Evans Foundation. BMW SOUND DESIGN explores the high-tech acoustics studios where every model of The Ultimate Driving Machine® develops its unique sound profile. Hidden away for security and posterity, the sketches that come to light in BMW DESIGN ARCHIVE provide a rare glimpse into the BMW design process over many decades.
WorldFest is the oldest independent film festival in the world, founded in 1961 by award-winning producer/director Hunter Todd to present a quality film festival for independent filmmakers. The Remi Award is inspired by the creative genius of the great Western artist Frederick Remington, famous for his paintings and sculptures of cowboy life in Texas and the West.

ALP Communications of Toronto has swept the podium in the Automotive Film and Video category at the prestigious Worldfest International Film Festival in Houston, TX.

ALP Communications of Toronto has won a Grand Remi Award and two Gold Awards at the prestigious Worldfest International Film Festival in Houston, TX.
THE BMW EXPERIENCE: PASSION FOR INNOVATION won Best of Show in the New Media/Website category, earning ALP a Grand Remi Award.
THE 2009 MAZDA6 INTERACTIVE OWNERS MANUAL won Gold in the New Media/Website category.
CRAFTED AT M, a short documentary, won Gold in the Film and Video category.
"It is a thrill to win a Worldfest Grand Remi Award on behalf of BMW of North America, a client of ALP Communications for over 20 years—and also to win a Gold Award for Mazda North American Operations, a new client of less than one year," said Adrian Powell, President of ALP Communications.
Worldfest received more than 4,500 entries from 37 countries around the world. Only 13 achieved the level of excellence judged worthy of a Grand Remi Award, Worldfest’s highest honor.
